We got into this because we like people, right? Not for the money!
As therapists, we are hard-core conditioned to cringe at the very word. And yet, we want to be paid a competitive salary for the service we provide.
We provide tremendous value to our patients in the form of reducing pain, guiding them through a difficult process, and yet often we are confused and intimidated by the complex insurance system as to what that is "worth". We don't get good feedback as to whether it's "right" or "fair".
Robyn will discuss some of the principles, myths, and habits that lead us to chronically mis-match the codes used with what is accurate, fair, and reasonable.
